How Much Does It Cost?
I offer a number of packages based on the time I am likely to need to do the research and reporting.
I also work by the hour for bespoke and research queries.
My time is priced at £25 per hour, with a minimum project time of three hours. Please note the fees are the same regardless of the outcome as they cover my time for both positive and negative results - unfortunately genealogy is not an exact science!

Package 1: £250
Allowing for 10 hours research and reporting. This could focus on elements of your maternal or paternal lineage to three generations or could follow one ancestor in more detail.
Package 2: £370
Allowing for 15 hours research and reporting. This could focus on elements of your maternal or paternal lineage to four generations or could follow up to two ancestors in more detail.
Package 3: £490
Allowing for 20 hours research and reporting. As above, this could focus on elements of your maternal or paternal line (or both - for example all four grandparents), aiming to reach back six generations.
With each package, the time you are paying for is yours. Therefore, within the parameters of the time available, you can direct the research the way you wish.
House Histories: £750
What could be more fascinating than knowing who trod your floorboards before you? Call me biased, but discovering the story of a home is one of the best things on the planet!
The research and reporting of narrative house history is a time intensive process however. For this reason, I charge a flat rate for research and reporting.
If your home is particularly old, and therefore requiring more extensive research, I will provide a bespoke quote.

Estate Agents
If you are an Estate Agent or vendor seeking to create a House History for sales purposes, please contact me.
Note: Prices exclude out of pocket expenses including travel to archives and paid for items such as documents, certificates, photocopying and photography licenses in archives. These will be pre-agreed with the Client on an as needed basis. A 50% deposit will be charged at the outset with 50% payable on delivery.
